Overview

Anti-Corruption: Addressing Risks and Promoting Transparency

Corruption is a complex term that can be applied to multiple scenarios. Criminal abuse, such as bribery or embezzlement; abuse of functions, such as a misuse of power; trading in influence; illicit enrichment; and money laundering are all variations of corruption, which makes a uniform definition of the term complex. To understand all forms of corruption and how to tackle it requires an exploration into its definitions and how it manifests.

This four-day training course will analyse the major forms of corruption and how they manifest across an organisation and community. Delegates will review anti-corruption theories and standards to know how to practically implement them in their workplace, as well as how to create a culture of compliance, integrity and transparency. Through the use of guided learning, scenario workshops and case studies, attendees will learn how to create a multi-disciplinary and multi-level approach to fight corruption, while also evaluating the risks of corruption and how to overcome them.
