Overview

Strategic Regulation Masterclass

The OECD recently released an update to their 2021 Recommendation for Agile Regulatory Governance to Harness Innovation. As part of the report, regulatory experimentation was demonstrated to generate knowledge and evidence that can improve regulatory quality and outcomes by enhancing adaptive learning, policy coherence, and evidence-based regulatory design, delivery and adaptation. These are noted to address innovation-induced disruptions and the resulting uncertainties.

Regulators are currently facing uncertainty in markets with new innovations and business practices that require regulatory consideration. To consider what better regulation looks like, it is crucial for regulators to stay up-to-date with current developments and practices. This training course ‘Strategic Regulation Masterclass’ analyses the purpose, potential, and reality of regulation in practice with an examination of new case studies and tools to achieve success.

Through this immersive training programme, participants will evaluate existing, new and emerging regulatory frameworks, examine the impact of differing policy interventions, analyse how best to involve multiple stakeholders in the regulatory process, and consider the right balance of public vs private sector interests. Through a combination of guided learning from our experts, shared experiences among peers, and best practice case studies, regulators and consultants will complete the course better equipped to analyse the risks and rewards of effective regulation, ensuring markets achieve the best outcomes and the requisite parties comply.
